A Louis XVI Mahogany and Brass-Mounted Commode, French, Late 18th Century
The moulded white veined marble top with rounded front corners above three frieze drawers divided by fluted panels, over two long drawers, each drawer front within a brass-moulded border, fitted with brass stirrup handles with rosette backplates and brass escutcheons, between rounded fluted front stiles capped in brass, the sides panelled, on tapering turned legs with brass sabots.
