Schulim Krimper (1893-1971)

Krimper was a Victoria-based cabinet maker and designer with a particular interest in non-figurative but expressive carving and the exploration of the values of Australian timbers such as black bean and Australian "oak". He undertook a major commission for the Cathedral Church of St Mary, Hobart in beginning in the 1950s and continuing into the following decade.
