The rectangular clear glass top resting on a pair of heavy flat-section brass supports, each folded into an angular Z-form, the upper arms joined by a central stretcher beneath the top, the lower arms linked by a square-section floor stretcher, raised on the flat of the base.

Romeo Rega was among the most accomplished Italian furniture designers working in brass during the 1970s, producing tables, étagères and bar carts in which architectural rigour met the luxurious finishes of the period. His best work relies on the weight and precision of solid flat-bar metal rather than applied ornament, and this table is a characteristic example: the base reads as a single folded ribbon of brass, its opposed Z-profiles creating a sense of movement and cantilevered tension when viewed from the side. The use of a clear glass top allows the geometry of the base to remain the dominant statement, a device Rega employed throughout his output.
