JOAN BROTAT (1920-1990) Barcelona painter FACE Wax on paper 22 x 16.5 cm. Signed in the lower right corner. It represents a bearded male face with a lost look. His painting is a mix between the old Romanesque painters and the contemporary style of the moment. In a first stage it is marked by conventionalism and modernist touches, recreating Catalan Romanesque painting. His second stage is based on formalism, collage and gestural art. Framed with glass.
