A Spanish Parcel-Gilt Wrought Iron Table Lamp, Mid-20th Century

the hand-forged stem rises from three C-scroll feet with tightly curled terminals, joined beneath a square collar. Above, an openwork basket-twist knop gives way to a rope-twisted shaft, topped by a crimped drip-pan bobèche. A simulated candle sleeve with a dripped-wax finish holds the bulb, and a beaded pull-chain switch hangs from the stem. The surface is a black ground with extensive remaining gilt, rubbed back to the iron on the high points
